Apple TV+’s Series Goes Beyond Scorsese’s Underrated Film
The star of the upcoming TV series adaptation of Cape Fear has revealed the show will go “further” than Martin Scorsese’s film version. Set to premiere on AppleTV+ in 2026, the Cape Fear show is inspired by John D. MacDonald’s novel The Executioners. The story has been adapted twice before with Scorsese’s 1991 movie and a 1962 version. The novel follows a lawyer who is stalked by a man he helped put in prison following his release.
