After hundreds of hours playing Balatro across three different platforms, I was struck with the inevitable burnout that eventually follows obsession. It’ll always be my game of the year for 2024, and I’m sure I’ll return to it after a hiatus, but in the meantime, I’ve still been craving another roguelike deckbuilder to fill the void.
