007 First Light Stole GoldenEye’s Legendary Bond Villain Idea
IO Interactive’s 007 First Light feels like a big moment for the James Bond franchise. By the time it comes out in 2026, it will have been 14 years since the last Bond game, 2012’s universally panned 007 Legends. IOI is starting from square one with a unique take on Bond and beginning with his earliest days in MI6, but 007 First Light is also taking advantage of an inherently interesting, but under-explored narrative element from GoldenEye.
